North Carolina rockers, Faith & Scars have dropped their album Revolver to the music listening world, and I’ve got four words for you. GO GET THIS ALBUM!!!!
These guys are straight up hard rock and roll with elements of gritty and southern soul.
The album is filled to the brim with songs that will kick your ass, touch your soul, and just all around make you smile.
Opening track and first single, “Long Way Home” has been etched in my brain since the first listen. Huge riffs, driving rhythm section, and that undeniable chorus. This band had my attention immediately and I was singing along instantly.
“Breathe” is a killer emotionally driven track with some amazing guitar work. The guitar duo of Roger Glenn and Logan X set this track on fire with their riffs and leads. Additionally, Roger’s lead vocals shine throughout with the dirty rasp and raw power.
These gentlemen aren’t done yet. “No Apologies” is well, unapologetic in its delivery. Noticeably heavier, this one will certainly light your aural senses on fire. Love the breaking glass sound clip in the intro. Definitely reminds of (WWE personality) “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s theme entrance.
Switching things up and slowing things down, the track “Never The Same” shows a darker side to the band. More of a mid-tempo rocker, the song shows a much different side of the band. This one will definitely be a favorite on modern rock radio stations across the country.
Bringing Revolver to a close is the absolutely gorgeous ballad, “Lightning.” This is most definitely my favorite track on the entire album. Showing off yet another side of the band, this tender ballad is overflowing with heart and soul. Every element of this song is perfection. It will be quite the injustice if this song does not get released as a single.
Faith & Scars are a band to keep your eye on in 2020 and beyond. These North Carolina fellas are the real deal. There is no mistaking the love and energy they put into writing their music. Be sure to add Revolver to your music collection, your streaming playlists, and crank them up LOUD!
