On Sunday October 16th, Post Malone brought his Twelve Carat Tour to Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, TN. With some of the most insane stage lights I’ve ever seen, including pyro, Malone brought something new and refreshing to the city of Nashville. Roddy Rich opened up the show with his catchy hooks and good energy. I appreciated Rich’s tribute to Nipsey Hussle with his cover of “Racks in the Middle.” The energy in the building before Post Malone hit the stage could have easily powered a small city, as he came out he started the set with an intimate low lit version of “Reputation” going straight into the song “Wow.” “My name is Austin Richard Post and I came here to play some ******* music and get a little bit ****** up while we do it.” Post explained as the fireworks went off and stages lights started spinning like 4 huge UFO’s overhead. I can remember noticing how much love everyone from Gen Z to Gen X had for Post in the arena, busting out into “Postie” chants in between songs. Malone gave no shortage of high fives as he walked back and forth on stage while singing. Impressively, Post Malone even let a fan come up with him to play his song “Stay” on an acoustic guitar while he sang. At the end of the show, Post stayed and sat on the side of the stage to take pictures with fans and sign autographs. I was very happy to be able to experience Post Malone live and would recommend it to anyone who gets the chance. “Live your life. Live your dream. Live your truth,” said Post Malone in between songs, “There is nothing you can’t do.”
