Blacktop Mojo’s Defy The Sun Tour took a break from all of the snow that they had been encountering and switched over to rain when they make a stop in Greensboro, North Carolina on November 23. The guys headlined the show at The Blind Tiger to a room full of music lovers who got treated to an amazing night of music. Matt James and the guys have been tearing up the road in support of their latest kick-ass album Under The Sun and headlining the tour. Their set consisted of tracks from their current album plus their last album Burn the Ships. They also did a cover the Phil Collins classic “In The Air Tonight.” Somebody needs to keep the Mountain Dew away from bassist Matt Curtis! That guy was definitely like a spider monkey running all over the place and engaging the crowd. Lead vocalist Matt James has one of coolest voices that we’ve heard in a very long time. Top notch musicianship + killer vocals + damn good songs = a band on the rise to keep your eyes/ear on. Our Photographer Daphne McKinney took some killer pix of the guys in action!
