Shinedown are set to release their 7th studio album Planet Zero on July 1, 2022. They’ve just concluded the Revolutions Live Tour along side The Pretty Reckless and Diamante. We were beyond excited to get the chance to catch this tour live when it hit up Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, NC this past week on May 3rd. This tour saw Shinedown playing their most extravagant stage to date with loads and loads of pyro.

The stage had a catwalk which really was almost like bringing the fans right on stage. They now had a full view of the guys in action on 3 sides and were completely surrounded by fans. As a fan myself, I think this was actually my 8th time catching the band live and this one was by far the hottest! Even from my seat you could feel the heat from the stage and it was incredible. The show began with the full band walking out together to greet their fans, each member slowly walking away to grab their instruments and they went straight into their most recent released song “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo.” They performed a full set spanning all 7 albums, even some cuts we hadn’t heard yet like “Daylight” that is set to be their 2nd official single off of the upcoming Planet Zero. At one point, vocalist Brent Smith exited the stage and we were treated to a beautiful cover of “Wheels” by Foo FightersZach Myers and Eric Bass sang this excellent tribute to the late Taylor Hawkins. When Brent Smith came back on stage, they went into “Call Me,” which was a huge treat for fans as it’s a track that’s not often played live.
