VERIDIA is a unique fusion of alternative rock and pop, with the powerful vocals and presence of frontwoman Deena Jakoub. We’ve been wanting to see this dynamic band for quite a while now and we finally got our chance in Charlotte, North Carolina at The Neighborhood Theatre on October 26. The band has been opening up for Icon For Hire on the band’s The Icon Army Tour. You want to talk getting a crowd warmed up and out of their seats? Veridia did an excellent job of that! Lead vocalist Jakoub proved that she’s no “studio effects” performer as she sounded even better live than on the recording. How could that be? The recording process can sanitize a performance and take the rawness and grit out of it. Those elements and so much more was there in her voice.
